On Sunday the 09th of August the racecourse Hoppegarten in Brandenburg organized its fourth race day. There were eleven races, due to the current Corona restrictions, only 1,000 people. Among them 750 paying spectators as well as 250 owners, officials and employees.
The list race Fürstenberg-Rennen (Gruppe III) over 2,400 metres was endowed with prize money of 27,500 euros. Winner was Andrasch Starke with Be My Sheriff, trained by Henk Grewe in Cologne. The German star jockey shone all day long with three victories in the first six races. Second was Maxim Pecheur on Moonlight Man. Third place went to Lukas Delozier on Notre Ruler.
According to the racetrack there were local heroes as well as the overpowering Andrasch Starke at the races on the race day on 9th August 2020: In the 4th race (City Control race, category D) Sky Emperor of coach Roland Dzubasz from Neuenhagen under Polish jockey Michal Abik was the clear favourite. In the 7th race (Florida Ice Race, Compensation IV) Tandilo of coach Friederike Schloms from Neuenhagen under jockey Rene Piechulek prevailed.
