In the Scheldeprijs race on 5 April 2023 from Terneuzen to Schoten, PHILIPSEN Jasper (Alpecin-Deceuninck) won after 205.3 kilometres, ahead of WELSFORD Sam (Team DSM) and CAVENDISH Mark (Astana Qazaqstan Team).
The Scheldeprijs (nl., formerly also: Grote Scheldeprijs, Scheldeprijs Vlaanderen or Scheldeprijs Schoten, engl.: Schelde Prize, Grand Schelde Prize, Schelde Prize Flanders, Schelde Prize Schoten) is the oldest one-day race in the world. It is named after the river Schelde. In 1907, the road cycling race was held for the first time in Flanders, Belgium. The route runs from Antwerp to Schoten.
