Photos and images from the second stage of the Tour de Suisse 2024 on 10 June 2024. The second stage of the Tour led from Vaduz to Regensdorf through hilly terrain. After the start in Vaduz, the riders crossed the Rhine and rode through Switzerland, past Sevelen, Sargans and Flums to Lake Walen. Five riders, including Luca Jenni and Félix Stehli, broke away from the peloton. The first mountain classification was at Kerenzerberg (745 m), which was won by Gerben Kuypers.
After the descent, they reached Glarus Nord and Reichenburg and then climbed to the Rickenpass, where Luca Jenni took the second mountain classification. The route continued on undulating terrain to Wattwil and through Toggenburg into the Töss Valley. Luca Jenni won the only intermediate sprint at kilometre 140.6.
After a steep climb near Lufingen and the Tissot kilometre, the route led past Zurich Airport before the final climb to Regensberg began. Here the escapees were caught and Søren Kragh Andersen won the last mountain classification. The finish was in Regensdorf after a descent and five flat kilometres. The winner was Bryan Coquard (France / Cofidis) ahead of Michael Matthews (Australia / Team Jayco AlUla) and Arnaud De Lie (Belgium / Lotto Dstny).
