For the first time, a women’s Tour de France was officially held in 2022: The Tour de France Femmes 2022 (officially Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift). The first edition of the Tour de France Femmes directly counted as one of the two grand tours in women’s cycling. The race took place from 24 to 31 July 2022, starting in Paris (Eiffel Tower / Tour Eiffel) and finishing after 1,033 kilometres in the Vosges (La Super Planche des Belles Filles).
A total of 24 women’s teams and 144 riders from twenty-five nations took part in the race: all 14 UCI Women’s WorldTeams and ten UCI Women’s Continental Teams.
The winner of the Tour de France Femmes 2022 was Annemiek VAN VLEUTEN of the Movistar Team.

The starting point was the Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel) and the finish was the Champs-Élysées. The winner was Lorena WIEBES (Netherlands) from Team DSM after 1:54:00 hours, ahead of Marianne VOS (Netherlands) from Team Jumbo-Visma and Lotte KOPECKY from Team SD Worx. The second stage of the Tour de France Femmes 2022 started on 25.07.2022 in Meaux and ended after 136.4 kilometres in Provins (Département Seine-et-Marne in the region Île-de-France). The winner was Marianne VOS (Netherlands) of Team Jumbo-Visma after 3:14:002 hours, ahead of Silvia PERSICO (Italy) of Team Valcar – Travel & Service and Katarzyna NIEWIADOMA (Poland) of Team Canyon//SRAM Racing. The mountain jersey was defended by Femke MARKUS (Netherlands) from Team Parkhotel Valkenburg. The jersey of the best youngest female rider was kept by Maike VAN DER DUIN of Le Col – Wahoo. The third stage of the Tour de France Femmes 2022 started on 26.07.2022 in Reims and ended after 133.6 kilometres in Épernay. The winner was Cecilie Uttrup LUDWIG (Denmark) from Team FDJ – SUEZ – Futuroscope after 3:22:54 hours, ahead of Marianne VOS (Netherlands) from Team Jumbo-Visma and Ashleigh MOOLMAN (South Africa) Team SD Worx.
